These are classic Christmas cookies, and yet, they are a bit unknown to me. I knew about them growing up, but they were never around to eat. If we bought them, it was part of making gingerbread houses that you didn't eat because those were not entirely edible, or they didn't taste good at all. Going forward, these cookies will be a tradition in my house. I just know the smell of these coming out of the oven will remind my family that it's Christmas time.  

This time of the year, peanut brittle is sentimental to my family. My Grandma would make several homemade Christmas candies, and the one that stands out the most to me is peanut brittle. I've made it before, but it can be tricky to get it right. This year, it took me a couple of tries to get it perfect. I learned, though, that if it goes wrong, you can still rinse the peanuts, let them dry overnight, and try the next day. I think all the trouble is worth the payoff, and I feel some members of my family are counting on me to have this treat at the family Christmas party. 

I love this time of the year, not just because my birthday is coming up soon, but the cozy feeling this season brings. the weather is cooler, the leaves are changing color, and I can pull out all my favorite sweaters. Its a great time of year to make a cup of coco and watch a spooky show, like Hocus Pocus or Practical Magic and the best option a Harry Potter marathon. with the season changing its also time to put out some fresh décor! Most of my decorations are just for fall so I can have them through thanks giving, as we get closer to Halloween I'll pull out some more spookier items.!  

I love making home made cookies for my family, I love it even more when the recipe takes hardly any time and effort but still has the gratification of doing something by hand. These cookies are my favorite for fall!

Welcome or welcome back! In Utah the summers are so hot! So we usually get outside in the mornings and in the evenings, in the afternoon when the sun is at its highest, it's best to stay indoors unless you want a wicked sunburn! So, for me it's important to decorate around the house for summer. I think it's important to change things up every so often and the changing of seasons is the perfect time! This summer I'm going for minimal, light and airy. this makes it easy to clean too.    

These are basically my chocolate chip cookie recipe with M&Ms! I'm excited to share these with my family on the Fourth of July! 

These cookies were a hit at a Memorial day BBQ! They were so easy to make and have ready for the evening. They are my husbands favorite cookie, and go well with a glass of milk. 

I've had a garden for the past three years, and I can say I absolutely think it is work the work. In years past, Connor and I had started our plants from seed, but this year we had a lot going on, so we opted to pick up plants from Lowe's. We set aside a couple of days to focus on this task and made it into a fun outing with our girls.
